Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to you - our amazing audience - and the

generous support of our wonderful sponsors and dedicated volunteers.

Together, you made this year’s festival an unforgettable experience.

The festival lasted for five exciting days, featuring 10 captivating feature films

and 10 engaging short films. It was filled with exciting vibes, a kaleidoscope of

emotions, and vibrant gatherings of enthusiastic spectators.

We showcased a colorful mix of films catering to a wide range of tastes and

preferences. From heartfelt dramatic and historical dramas that touched on

both personal and historical narratives, to family films perfect for audiences of

all ages. Crime and drama thrillers kept everyone on the edge of their seats,

while quirky shorts offered unique and fresh perspectives. Family animations

delighted children and the young-at-heart, and the closing comedy was a

much-loved finale that left everyone smiling.

We are thrilled that you enjoyed the festival and are immensely grateful for

your feedback. Your insights will help shape the next edition of the Sydney

Czech and Slovak Film Festival in the coming years.

Thank you for being part of our cinematic journey!

The opening night was a stunning event with VIP guests, media, sponsors,

and the local community. This annual red carpet affair offered glamour,

entertainment, and cultural enrichment.

The evening began with ANIKIKO, captivating the audience with her unique

blend of music, setting an exciting and emotional tone.

The highlight was the screening of FATHER / Otec, a Slovakian drama

inspired by a true story. Its powerful narrative and performances left a lasting

impression, sparking discussions among guests.

The red carpet buzzed with excitement, cameras flashed, interviews were

conducted, and the presence of distinguished guests added to the event's

prestige.

Beyond the glamour, the event highlighted the power of community and the

arts. As the evening closed, attendees left inspired, eager for more films to

see.  Saturday was a vibrant celebration of culture, fun, family, and children! The

event was filled with laughter and joy. Children's faces lit up with excitement at

the Toy Tombola, generously sponsored by Happy Go Ducky. The

anticipation of winning a toy brought smiles and cheer to the young

participants, making the day unforgettable. Adding to the festive atmosphere,

Adri's Gingerbread provided beautifully hand-crafted gingerbread treats.

Each cookie was a work of art, delighting both the eyes and the taste buds of

everyone who indulged.

This celebration was a perfect blend of joy, creativity, and community spirit,

leaving lasting memories for families and friends alike.
